My Ascension: A Documentary to Spread Hope and Fight Suicide
Emma Benoit will be at the Ames Auditorium on March 14th to show a film about her attempt and her journey after, and will do a live Q&A. If you absolutely cannot make it in person, the event will be livestreamed via our Facebook. Please try to avoid watching alone.

About The Event
We are SO EXCITED to announce that we, along with Alive & Running Iowa for Suicide Awareness & Prevention, and partially funded by HAMO Foundation, are bringing Emma Benoit to the City of Ames Auditorium March 14th from 6-8pm. We will show her film about her suicide attempt and her jouney after, which will include a live Q&A. Emma is wise beyond her years, kind, and wonderful to talk to.
We lost 2 other teens to suicide recently, in communities not far from ours. I know Emma is coming during Spring Break, a time usually reserved for vacation and breaks, but talking about suicide is never convenient. We hope you will rise to the occasion and join us to learn how to begin talking about suicide so that our kids can learn about it somewhere other than Tic Tok and Reddit.
